Summer road trips are the best. You stumble upon the most amazing places and I always find that some of the best bookstores are the little independent ones. This particular one is called Off the Beaten Path and it is in Steamboat Springs, CO.
This bookstore was a cafe as well. It was full of book themed drinks! I absolutely loved it. It had a great selection of books. Not only were their shelves full of new releases but they also sold used books! The shop may have been small but it was packed full of books. They had such a nice staff and the whole atmosphere of the store was amazing. I felt at home away from home.

While I was there I picked up two books! The first book was a Colorado Book Awards Finalist called Crow Flight by Susan Cunningham. I am currently reading it and I like it so far! The second is called The Girl Outdoors by Sian Anna Lewis. This book is "the wild girl's guide to adventure, travel, and wellbeing." I have read some of this and it is super interesting and is packed full of advice, stories, recipes, and more!
